What’s the application process like?

At Neon Ventures, our goal is to identify founders who can take a validated idea and build a world-class company around it. This article breaks down the stages of our application process and what we’re really looking for at each step.

Step 1: Online Application

Start by completing our Typeform application. We ask about your background, domain expertise, and motivation to lead a venture.

  • Share your founder story: What drives you?

  • Demonstrate clarity: Can you articulate your goals?

  • Show commitment: Are you ready to go all-in?

Step 2: First Interview (Remote)

A 30-minute call with our scouting team to understand your mindset, leadership potential, and communication style. We’re looking for:

  • Strong founder-market fit

  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • Personal grit and humility

Step 3: Second Interview (In Person)

This session is all about how you think. You’ll join a studio-style workshop where we challenge your strategic thinking and assess your ability to collaborate.

  • Can you lead a room?

  • Are you coachable?

  • Can you take feedback and turn it into action?

Step 4: Final Review

You’ll meet our leadership team and select LPs for a 45-minute panel. Expect pressure. We’ll simulate investor meetings and evaluate your narrative, pitch, and ability to handle high-stakes moments.
